"A beautiful balance, full of finesse, between elegance and character."

"From the first glance, you can tell that extraction has been sought: the color is dark, almost black. The intense nose combines jammy black fruits and violet, pepper, and hints of licorice. On the palate, the wine is powerful and round, with omnipresent spices and a solid structure of velvety tannins representative of the high-altitude granite terroirs. The elegant vanilla oak accompanies without dominating the long finish with its fresh licorice notes." (Le Guide Hachette 2022)

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Winery rated 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, consistent with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Founded in 2016 by two couples, Cyrille & Natacha and Judith & Xavier, this estate is located at an altitude of 600 meters, facing Canigou, in the commune of Tarerach. Comprising 13 hectares of vineyards and 43 hectares of moorland, they benefit from a very unspoiled environment. The vines are rooted in a terroir composed of schist and granite. The wines, which show great promise, caught our attention and we decided to follow this estate closely.
