"A beautiful, subtle balance between elegance and character"
“From the very first glance, the winemaker’s focus on extraction is evident: a dark, almost black color. The intense nose blends jammy black fruits and violets with pepper and licorice notes. On the palate, the wine displays power and roundness, with ever-present spices and a solid structure of velvety tannins characteristic of high-altitude granitic terroirs. Elegant vanilla-like oak accompanies, without overpowering, the long finish with its licorice-like freshness.” (Le Guide Hachette 2022)

Bettane & Desseauve
Winery rated 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Founded in 2016 by two couples—Cyrille & Natacha and Judith & Xavier—this estate is located at an elevation of 600 meters, facing Mount Canigou, in the town of Tarerach. Comprising 13 hectares of vineyards and 43 hectares of heathland, it benefits from a pristine natural environment. The vines are rooted in soil composed of schist and granite. The wines, which show great promise, caught our attention, and we decided to follow this winery closely.
