“A beautiful balance, full of finesse, between elegance and character”
"At first glance, the wine’s intense extraction is evident: a dark, almost black color. The intense nose blends jammy black fruits and violets with pepper and hints of licorice. On the palate, the wine displays power and roundness, with ever-present spices and a solid structure of velvety tannins characteristic of high-altitude granite terroirs. Elegant vanilla-like oak accompanies, without overpowering, the long finish with its licorice-like freshness.” (Le Guide Hachette 2022)

Bettane & Desseauve
Winery rated 1*Star (A high-quality, recommended production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
Founded in 2016 by two couples, Cyrille & Natacha and Judith & Xavier, this estate is located at an elevation of 600 meters, facing Mount Canigou, in the town of Tarerach. Comprising 13 hectares of vineyards and 43 hectares of heathland, it enjoys a pristine natural environment. The vines are rooted in a terroir composed of schist and granite. The wines, which show great promise, caught our attention, and we decided to follow this estate closely.
