New vintage not yet reviewed by the press: the 2008 vintage received a 17/20 rating from Gault Millau,
The "Cuvée des Conti" is the family’s signature wine, the very embodiment of very ripe Sémillon grapes, partially sun-dried (a house specialty), and grown on clay-limestone soil dominated by Aquitaine limestone. The 2007 Cuvée des Conti white bursts with aromas of acacia blossom, orange blossom, and white peach, accompanied by a palate that is full of roundness, liveliness, and balance. A wine that reflects this family of passionate winemakers!

Rated 3 stars (A high-quality product that serves as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

Guillaume and Paul, sons of Francis, in partnership with oenologist Yann Lecoindre, manage the 30 hectares in Saint Julien d’Eymet under the Albert de Conti label (formerly the flagship cuvée of Tour des Gendres). A new winery for vinification and aging is set to be built in Saint Julien. This presents an opportunity to revitalize the village’s wine industry. The trio, led by the dynamic Guillaume, is determined to innovate, both in terms of labels and the style of the wines, by planting Savoyard grape varieties and others, just like their cousins. Stay tuned.

Rated estate (2023 guide) 2*Stars (These exceptional estates, often blessed with fabulous terroirs, are must-haves that, thanks to the consistency and excellence of their wines, deserve a place in the cellars of discerning wine lovers)

About the estate:

Rancis de Conti was a cooperative member and supplied his wines before entering into a lease agreement with his brother Luc de Conti at Château La Tour des Gendres. In 2021, Guillaume, his son, and his brother Paul, along with Yann Lecoindre, the cellar master at La Tour des Gendres, took over this 30-hectare leasehold to produce their own wines under the Albert de Conti label. The cuvées Conti-ne Périgourdine, Cuvée des Conti, La Vigne d'Albert, Chez Paul, and the naturally sparkling wine produced on this estate’s plots have been taken over by the new entity, which is therefore included in our guide on the same level as the former estate.

I was a little disappointed by this wine, which lacked character but was still decent—nothing more.
