Château Montplaisir
Founded in 1917, Château Montplaisir, owned by the Collet family, reached its peak in the 1950s. Put up for auction in 1978 following the death of the last heir, it was acquired by Marie-Françoise Jean and Jean-Louis Blanc, both from families of winemakers. Together, they gradually restored the buildings and rebuilt the vineyard. In January 2011, Charles Blanc took over the estate and continues his parents’ work with passion.
Château Montplaisir cultivates 6 hectares of vineyards using organic farming methods, with rigor and sensitivity. Charles Blanc is committed to reducing mechanization in his practices to achieve greater precision and to restore a living, harmonious, and sustainable ecosystem.
The wines of Château Montplaisir accurately express their terroir and captivate with their balance and harmony.
