"Polychrome because it blends a variety of grape varieties: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The appellation’s primary grape varieties contribute their distinct nuances to this fine vintage, along with 15 months of aging in large-capacity barrels. Tasters praise its dark, youthful color; its dense, complex, and refined nose of ripe fruit, with black cherry at the forefront; and its smooth, full-bodied, and deep palate, where black fruit is combined with well-integrated oak. Character and potential.” (Le Guide Hachette 2026).

About the wine:
Polychromatic because it blends a variety of grape varieties: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The appellation’s primary grape varieties contribute their distinct nuances to this fine vintage, along with 15 months of aging in large-capacity barrels. Tasters praise its dark, youthful color, its dense, complex, and refined nose of ripe fruit—led by black cherry—and its smooth, full-bodied, and deep palate, where black fruit notes blend with well-integrated oak. Character and potential.
About the estate:
Charles Blanc’s parents, who hailed from Saint-Émilion and Cognac and were themselves the children of winemakers, purchased this estate in 1978; the property had been established in 1917. Their son took over the estate in 2001 after training in Sancerre and New Zealand. He retained only the best of his vineyard—4.7 hectares today—replanted eight grape varieties, trees, and hedges, adopted organic farming, and is committed to “de-mechanizing” his practices to achieve greater precision.
