Château de Gueyze - Buzet 2019

The cooperative, which controls most of the Buzet appellation—approximately 1,950 hectares as of today, planted with Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon, Sémillon, and others—had built a solid reputation in the 1990s. After a few more challenging vintages, quality had dipped, before returning to a high standard once again. This winery’s lineup is worth noting; the wines are monitored on a plot-by-plot basis and exhibit distinct identities, without resorting to flashy showmanship.
