"The high ripeness of the organic grapes gives slightly candied aromas with an invigorating, long-lasting freshness. A real treat within three years. Produced by a computer engineer, this cheerful wine puts a smile on your face from the very first sip." (Le Guide des bonnes affaires du vin 2015 - RVF Gerbelle & Maurange). A generous, gourmet red, its freshness and intense aromatic expression make it an excellent wine!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (2015 guide) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the domain :

The young and energetic Philippe Lejeune puts his entrepreneurial talent at the service of his magnificent estate, but also that of the appellation, and forms with Stéphane Derenoncourt, his viticultural advisor, a remarkable tandem that gives great wine all the class it deserves. With 65 hectares, it is the largest biodynamic vineyard in Cahors. Beware of clichés, grand-vin-de-chambert doesn't give itself away immediately. Like great Bordeaux wines, it is built to blossom over time. The cuvées at the beginning of the range still need to be perfected.

Wine rated (2015 guide) 15,5/20 (Good wine)

Domaine noté (guide 2015) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the wine:

Chambert Gourmand rouge 2012 is a very fine success, a floral, accessible and flavorful transcription of highland malbec.

About the domain :

A historic Cahors estate, famous since the 19th century, Chambert was bought in 2007 by Philippe Lejeune, a local native and successful IT services entrepreneur. He spared no expense in restoring the château to its former glory. He is resolutely committed to certified organic viticulture and now to biodynamic viticulture. Renowned consultant Stéphane Derenoncourt is on hand to offer advice. The latest wines are proving to be of a very high standard, and this essential estate in the Cadurcian landscape has undoubtedly not finished surprising us.
