Note: Guide Hachette 1* (Very successful wine)
“A beautiful blend of Tannat (80%) and Syrah grown on 10 hectares of clay-limestone soil. With an elegant dark cherry color and black undertones, this 2012 offers a lovely bouquet of red and black fruits (cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry), accompanied by a subtle amylic note. The palate echoes the nose, with a clean attack, well-balanced, fresh, and supported by tannins that have already softened. » (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2014)

The tannins are a bit too harsh for a wine that should be easy to drink. It probably needs time to mellow, but that wasn't the reason I bought it—at least not for me.
