Rated estate (2026 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)

About the estate:

This is the largest private estate in Jurançon and the most widely distributed brand in fine dining establishments and luxury wine shops. Henri Ramonteu has perfected the small-scale production of sweet wines with spectacular bouquets and fascinating length on the palate. All share the house style: great purity of fruit and concentration balanced by the liveliness characteristic of the region. Top notch.

On the nose and palate, again and again... and again, aromas from the broad aromatic spectrum of this dry Jurançon: mainly white-fleshed fruits, with hints of exotic fruits and citrus, complemented by floral and dried herb notes. This impressive blend of flavors coats the palate with a dense and rich texture, carried by a vibrant acidity that provides plenty of tension, as well as the weight of perfectly controlled power. The finish benefits from an extra touch of freshness provided by additional minerality. Accessible and ready to drink. This lovely, bright and refined white wine was paired with a starter of grapefruit stuffed with pink shrimp, crab, and avocado, then with a lemon meringue pie for dessert. Rating = 4.
