Château de Viella
A family-owned estate managed by Alain Bortolussi since 1991, Château de Viella has become the flagship of the appellation. In the 1990s, Alain Bortolussi undertook a reorganization of the vineyard plots to highlight the best terroirs. This was followed by a significant investment in winemaking equipment, which enabled Château de Viella to become a benchmark in Madiran.
Also deeply committed to wine tourism, Château de Viella organizes numerous events on the property, such as a walking trail and summer activities.
The Château de Viella vineyard spans 25 hectares in a single block, comprising 20 hectares of Madiran and 5 hectares of Pacherenc du Vic Bilh.
