“A delicious sweet wine, full of freshness and light on the palate”

"Remarkable—the 2021 vintage of this cuvée narrowly missed out on the Favorite. Its successor has earned it, just like the 2018. Made from Sémillon (80%) and Sauvignon; no Muscadelle this year, a rare and capricious grape variety. Fermented and aged in new barrels, this deep-yellow Monbazillac reveals its aging only through a few hints of vanilla, which dust over a bouquet of overripe and candied fruits, where lemon and mandarin add a refreshing touch. Round and candied, in harmony with the nose, the palate stands out for its richness and concentration, which will allow this sweet wine to age for a decade.” (Le Guide Hachette 2025)

About the wine:

Remarkably, the 2021 vintage of this cuvée narrowly missed out on the Favorite designation. Its successor has earned it, as did the 2018. It’s made from Sémillon (80%) and Sauvignon; there’s no Muscadelle this year, a rare and capricious grape variety. Fermented and aged in new oak barrels, this deep-yellow Monbazillac reveals its aging only through a few hints of vanilla, which dust over a bouquet of overripe and candied fruits, where lemon and mandarin add a refreshing touch. Round and candied, in harmony with the nose, the palate stands out for its richness and concentration, which will allow this sweet wine to age for decades.
