This dry Riesling from the Baden region offers intense notes of fruit and white flowers right from the nose. On the palate, its crisp acidity evokes citrus fruits blended with a certain roundness. The briny finish is beautifully long. It will be the perfect pairing for spicy dishes, fish, or meat dishes with cream sauce. A real success!

About the estate:
Biodynamic farming always takes a few years to show results, both in terms of root development and soil health, and Michel Chapoutier knows this well—he purchased this estate in 2009 with a few friends who are connoisseurs of fine wines. Located in northern Alsace, on a vein of blue schist, the estate is gradually finding its footing. The single-vineyard Rieslings (Burg, Buehl, and Fels) are beginning to reveal the subtle nuances of their soil.

Review by Mr. FREDERIC B. Published on March 1, 2020
Tasted in February 2020. A lively attack on the palate with a hint of effervescence. After some aeration, the mid-palate becomes creamy and rich, and the finish is quite long. A lovely Riesling.
