"One of winemaker Alejandro Vigil's favorite vintages, Gran Enemigo reveals the full potential of Mendoza: magnificent!"

"Among El Enemigo's most refined wines is the Gran Enemigo Red Blend 2021, [...] Its dusty, floral bouquet with black fruit aromas gradually unveils to reveal a brighter, more intense profile. The palate is velvety, vibrant and taut, finishing savory, fresh and fine, with a persistent, mineral core. 2024-2036" (Robert Parker 2025)

About the wine:

Blue fruit with notes of blackberry, violets, white roses and a touch of curry. Medium body with fine tannins. Rather reserved on the palate, with good liveliness. For drinking or cellaring.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 97/100

About the wine:

A blend of 50% Malbec, 30% Cabernet Franc, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot, Red Blend Gran Enemigo 2021 is one of winemaker Alejandro Vigil's favorite vintages, a testament to the terroir, the conditions and his winemaking expertise. The grapes are, of course, grown in limestone and rocky soil at high altitude, then aged for over a year in old foudres. The wine is fresh, complex and seductive, with notes of black fruit, hints of dried herbs and a structure that will allow it to age for another 20 years. 2025-2045
