Jancis Robinson

“Hunter Valley Sémillon is Australia’s superb gift to the world of wine... ” (Jancis Robinson, MW) A wine with exceptional aging potential, Semillon reveals intense and elegant citrus aromas in its youth. Over time, it will develop softer notes of honey, toast, and vanilla. Known for its ability to age for over 20 years, it will reach its peak after about ten years. A wonderful discovery!

About the wine:

Pale gold with greenish highlights. Very clean, refreshing, and slightly mineral on the nose. Super juicy and succulent. Powerful acidity with more than just a hint of lemon juice. Very elegant on the finish. Very young but bursting with aromas despite its low alcohol content. It should develop even more structure with age.

Still very fresh for its age, and such elegance! What a pleasant surprise.

I bought it because my wife's name is Elisabeth. If your wife's name is Simone, you'll have better luck than I did!
