" Favorite the previous Guide with his 2017 Chassignol windmill, Maxime Troncy confirms his (very) good disposition and produces a "simple" Beaujolais that is anything but simplistic. A cuvée born from venerable 70-year-old vines planted on a hill that once housed a Roman oppidum. After eight months of aging in oak barrels, it displays intense and generous aromas of black fruits, sweet spices, toast, and Zan. On the palate? Volume, concentration, fleshiness, and velvety tannins coated with ripe fruit and well-balanced oak. Character. (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2022)
