"Passerelle 577 confirms its position among the best vintages of the region" (RVF)

"A giant of minerality and fresh elegance despite its abundant power and compact tannic core. Lots of dynamism and density on the palate, medium-bodied, with wonderful freshness in the very long, seriously structured finish. Aging potential of several decades." (James Suckling 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2021 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)

About the estate:

COMMENTARY Retirement: 5 hectares in Morgon, in the most beautiful locations, Corcelettes, Grand Cras, and Côte de Py! That was in 2013. Since settling there, year in, year out, Mee Godard has been moving forward, progressing, and building. A hectare of Moulin-à-Vent here, a new building there, and wines that continue to improve. The Godard style is very pure wines, never sterile, airy but structured, which exude their origin. Add to that a richness that was perhaps lacking in her first vintages and which is the cornerstone of the superb 2017s. Everything is good at Godard, it's a shame there's so little of it!

Wine rated (2026 guide) 95/100

Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About wine:

Finally, Passerelle 577 confirms its position among the best vintages of the region, with an athletic, slender style where minerality dominates the fruit. You can keep it for at least 15 years.

About the estate:

A trained oenologist with no background in winemaking, Mee realized her dream in February 2013 when she took over the plots of a winemaker who had given up. Her small estate consists of very old vines in the best terroirs of Morgon (Corcelette, Grand Cras, Côte du Py). A Moulin-à-Vent cuvée was added to the range in 2016. With her free-spirited but well-defined wines, Mee Godard is going from strength to strength!

Wine rated (2025 guide) 17,5++/20

About wine:

Discreet nose – at this stage (very young), it is difficult to form an opinion of the wine based solely on the nose. But the intensity on the palate is almost explosive. Almost, were it not for the iron restraint of the tannins. Plums and blackberries, smoky and subterranean minerality, enticing petrichor. An iridescent peacock's tail of flavors that defiantly resists the tannins, precisely designed for a long and glorious future.

About wine:

A giant of minerality and fresh elegance despite its abundant power and compact tannic core. Lots of dynamism and density on the palate, medium-bodied, with wonderful freshness in the very long and seriously structured finish. Aging potential of several decades. Can be drunk now, but will be at its peak from 2026 onwards.
