Rating from the Hachette Wine Guide: 2** (Remarkable Wine) + Editor’s Choice
“An intense garnet color with black highlights coats the glass. On the nose, the twelve months in oak are evident through elegant toasted and roasted aromas that dominate—without overpowering—the notes of ripe black fruit. Frank and powerful from the first sip, the palate displays a solid tannic structure, chewiness, and volume. The long, finely toasted finish is the final touch that wins you over.” (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2013)

It’s best to let it age a little longer in the cellar. Be sure to let it breathe well before serving.

I was a little disappointed compared to the rave reviews from 1j1vin; I found it a bit closed. It should be cellared for at least 3 years.

A beautiful wine, with a hint of oak. We'll have to wait and see over the next 5 or 6 years if it ages harmoniously.

A Bordeaux just the way we like it: a well-balanced wine that’s ready to drink now but will only get better with age—a great investment!
