The Bouillerot Castle Located in Gironde-sur-Dropt, this has been a winery since 1874. It is now run by Thierry Bos, who has taken over the reins of this estate, which has been in his family since 1935. Since 2013, the 8-hectare estate has been farmed organically on soils that are predominantly clay-limestone. The excellent exposure of the vineyards at the Bouillero CastleThis, combined with an exceptional climate, provides optimal conditions for producing high-quality wines.

Committed to “forgotten” grape varieties that are becoming increasingly rare over time, Thierry Bos works with Carménère, Malbec, and Petit Verdot in addition to the traditional Cabernet Franc and Merlot. At Château de Bouillerot, he crafts wines brimming with personality and is regularly recognized for his wines, particularly his sweet “Palais d’Or” cuvée from the Côtes-de-Bordeaux-Saint-Macaire appellation and his red Bordeaux wines. The quality of his wines continues to rise.
