Château de Bouillerot
The Bouillerot Castle located in Gironde-sur-Dropt, has been a wine estate since 1874. It is now run by Thierry Bos, who has taken over the reins of this property, owned by his family since 1935. Since 2013, the 8-hectare estate has been farmed organically on mainly clay-limestone soils. The excellent exposure of the vineyards of Bouillero CastleThis, combined with an exceptional climate, provides optimal conditions for producing high-quality wines.
Committed to "forgotten" grape varieties that are becoming less and less common over time, Thierry Bos works with traditional Cabernet Franc and Merlot, as well as Carménère, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. At Château de Bouillerot, he produces wines full of personality and is regularly rewarded for his wines, notably with his Palais d'Or sweet wine in Côtes-de-Bordeaux-Saint-Macaire and his red Bordeaux wines. The quality of his wines continues to improve.
