“A classic blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc, this 2015 vintage, with its deep color, offers a harmonious bouquet of ripe black fruits accompanied by subtle, elegant vegetal notes. On the palate, it is round, smooth, soft, and full-bodied, supported by velvety, silky tannins. The archetype of a pleasant, indulgent Bordeaux. ” (Le Guide des Vins Hachette 2018)

About the wine:
A classic blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc, this 2015 vintage, with its deep color, offers a harmonious bouquet of ripe black fruits accompanied by subtle, elegant vegetal notes. On the palate, it is round, smooth, soft, and full-bodied, supported by velvety, silky tannins. The quintessential example of a pleasant, indulgent Bordeaux.
About the estate:
An 8-hectare estate farmed organically, owned by the same family since 1935 and spanning four generations, regularly recognized for its sweet “Palais d’Or” wine from the Côtes-de-Bordeaux-Saint-Macaire appellation and for its red Bordeaux wines. After ten years as a pharmacy technician, Thierry Bos took over the family estate in 1990.

Wine rated (2018 guide) 14/20 (Good wine)
Rated Estate (2018 Guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking, and as such, all the estates listed here—even those without a star—represent, in our view, the excellence of French winemaking.)
About the wine:
"Fruit d'Automne 2015" evokes the refreshing qualities of a Beaujolais: fruit-forward, full-bodied, low in tannins, and vibrant.
About the estate:
Thierry Bos, a native of Gironde-sur-Dropt, is a determined and passionate winemaker! For more than ten years, he has been dedicated to reviving “forgotten” grape varieties such as Carménère, Malbec, and, to a lesser extent, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The various vintages express wine styles with strong personalities. Always well-balanced, with just the right level of ripeness and delicate extraction, we appreciate the unique character of these wines. This is an estate that truly deserves our attention.

A winery worth discovering, a wine that lives up to its name, and unbeatable value for the price. I discovered it at a wine fair, and it has never disappointed.
