Fonchereau Castle
Château Fonchereau was once a noble estate under the jurisdiction of Château Lamothe, just like the surrounding châteaux of La Moune, Puymiran, and Taillefer. Today, it is run by three Mexican friends who are passionate about wine.

The sprawling estate of Château Fonchereau encompasses 50 hectares: 30 hectares of contiguous vineyards and 20 hectares of woods and meadows. The very layout of the estate, protected by the surrounding forest and well-exposed, creates a remarkable microclimate that shields the vineyard from hail and frost. These natural advantages are complemented by the high viticultural quality of the clay-gravel soils, whose gentle slope facilitates the drainage of rainwater.

Truly tended like a garden, the Château Fonchereau vineyard is the subject of extremely meticulous care, guided by deeply ecological principles centered on respect for the terroir and the practice of sustainable agriculture. The estate receives guidance from oenologists Gilles Pauquet and Stéphane Toutoundji.
