Fonchereau Castle
Château Fonchereau was a noble house belonging to Château Lamothe, as were the surrounding châteaux of La Moune, Puymiran, and Taillefer. Today, it is run by three Mexican friends who are passionate about wine.

The vast Château Fonchereau estate covers 50 hectares: 30 hectares of vineyards in a single block and 20 hectares of woods and meadows. The very structure of the estate, protected by the surrounding forest and well exposed, creates a remarkable microclimate that protects the vineyard from hail and frost. In addition to these natural advantages, the high-quality clay-gravel soils, with their slight slope facilitating rainwater drainage, contribute to the quality of the wine.

Truly maintained like a garden, the Château Fonchereau vineyard is the subject of extremely meticulous care, inspired by a deeply ecological approach, with respect for the terroir and the practice of sustainable agriculture as its watchwords. The property receives advice from oenologists Gilles Pauquet and Stéphane Toutoundji.
