Château Haut Barade
A small family-owned estate, Château Haut Barade is located in the town of Mouliets, very close to Castillon-la-Bataille, on the alluvial plains of the Dordogne at the foot of the limestone plateau.
Convinced of the quality of the Médoc’s iconic grape variety, Mr. Yonnet decided in 1995 to plant 5 hectares of Petit Verdot on the sandy-gravelly soils of the Haut Barade estate.
He therefore decided to produce a cuvée made exclusively from these grapes to fully express the richness and personality of this often-misunderstood grape variety.
