This indulgent character carries over to the palate, which is concentrated and dense, with fine, silky tannins. This is a wine that can be enjoyed while still young.

About the estate:

A family-owned estate for three generations, with 25 hectares managed since 1989 by Brigitte Mestreguilhem (whose family also owns Château Pipeau in Saint-Émilion Grand Cru). 2014 saw the arrival of Jean Mestreguilhem, Brigitte’s son, an agricultural engineer who cut his teeth at major Bordeaux estates, as well as in California and South Africa, and who is now in charge of the estate’s technical management.

About the wine:

The Mestreguilhem family of Saint-Émilion (Château Pipeau) demonstrate their winemaking talent with the wines from this estate. The 2014 vintage has lovely body and vigorous tannins, yet its concentration shines through. The wine as a whole needs time to come together. It shows great potential thanks to its structure and length.
