Château La Rose du Pin

Château La Rose du Pin is owned by the Ducourt family. It all began in 1858, in a small village in the Entre-Deux-Mers region… As owners of Château des Combes, the Ducourt family settled in the hamlet of Le Hourc, in the town of Ladaux. Pierre Ducourt, Bernard Ducourt’s great-grandfather, arrived at the family estate in 1885. His son Louis succeeded him in 1919; at that time, the estate comprised 9 hectares of vineyards.

Henri Ducourt’s arrival at the estate in 1951 marked the beginning of a new era for Vignobles Ducourt. An ambitious and courageous winemaker, he worked with his three children (Bernard, Marie-Christine, and Philippe) to revitalize the winemaking business, transforming this family vineyard into one of the largest wine-producing estates in the Bordeaux region today (440 hectares, 12 châteaux).

The Ducourt philosophy has always been dedicated to enhancing the expression of the terroir through the use of increasingly innovative techniques focused on quality. In keeping with the tradition of the great Bordeaux wines, all of the estates—including Château La Rose du Pin—have been committed to a quality management system since 1996. They are certified under the ISO 9001 standard, a corporate management standard that guarantees the quality of their expertise.
