"A serious estate to discover and follow! ~ Decanter"
"Magnificent nose, ripe blackberry and blackcurrant jam. Good intensity on the palate, a rush of black fruit arrives before spicy licorice joins the salty mineral stone of the limestone terroir, giving texture and complexity. A serious, sculpted, and firm style, but with energy and dynamism. The texture is smooth and it has beautiful precision with a bright, juicy lift at the end. A domaine to seek out and watch." Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated 93/100
Rated estate (2020 guide) 3 stars (High-quality production, serving as a benchmark in its sector)
About wine:
A subtle, silky attack with a palate that remains enveloped in refined flesh. A very elegant wine with a very fresh finish.
About the estate:
The 4.5 hectares of this Canon-Fronsac, firmly anchored on a terrace overlooking the Dordogne, were enthusiastically taken over by Jean-Francis Pécresse, director of Radio Classique. The property, advised by Stéphane Derenoncourt (an essential consultant on the right bank), has gained in fruitiness and refinement, with an emphasis on balance, tannic finesse, and depth. This wine deserves time to reach its full potential. It offers good value for money.

Guide Hachette des vins
Wine rating (2023 guide) 2 stars (Outstanding wine)
Rated estate (2020 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About wine:
Le Favorite put to the vote for this 2019 vintage, made from 70% Merlot complemented by Cabernet Franc. The nose reveals an intense, indulgent bouquet of red and black fruits mingled with menthol and spicy notes. The palate is full-bodied, generous and smooth, asserting its balance around a fleshy, lively fruitiness, supported by very elegant tannins. 2024-2030
About the estate:
The Pécresse family, former owners of the Grand Corbin and Trotanoy châteaux, have presided over the destiny of this vineyard for four generations. A 4.2-hectare estate, known until 2003 as Vray Canon Bodet-la-Tour, it is now run by Francis and his son Jean-Francis.

Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About wine:
A powdery tannin for a well-ripened wine that remains quite refined.
About the estate:
Before becoming director of Radio Classique and editorialist at Les Échos, Jean-Francis Pécresse was a winegrower. His ancestors, who came from Corrèze, had acquired a small vineyard on the Saint-Michel-de-Fronsac plateau, whose progress he has always followed very closely. With advice from Hannah Fiegenschuh (Derenoncourt nursery), the vineyard climbs a step higher each year and began converting to organic farming three years ago. Once an outsider among the great Fronsac wines, Canon Pécresse now stands alongside them, with an increasingly assertive definition of its degraded limestone terroir; the wines combine charm, purity, and freshness.

Aromas of blueberries, blackcurrants, wild raspberries, and bark. Some pine cones and black olives too. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Nicely fleshy on the mid-palate. Enjoy from 2023.
