"This 2nd organic wine with a new label offers immediate pleasure at an attractive price!
"The nose is bright, the palate dark and quite serious. No massive acidity, but the fruit is beautifully fine: sculpted and balanced, even showy and bright. A linear style with a push from start to finish, then a strong minty character on the finish." (Decanter 2022)

Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2022) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
La Lagune has not been rewarded by the weather in recent vintages for its courageous organic viticulture. Under the watchful eye of its administrator, Caroline Frey, the wine has made good progress in recent years, with blends featuring a higher percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and more elegant tannin extractions. It's getting better and better.

Guide Hachette des vins
Domaine noté (guide 2021) Award-winning wines (The wines of this producer are regularly awarded by the guide)
About the domain :
The first classified growth encountered by visitors arriving from Bordeaux along the Médoc wine route, this château was bought in 2000 by Jean-Jacques Frey, a businessman who already owned prestigious houses in Champagne and the Rhône Valley. A long-established name, La Lagune combines an elegant 18th-century Carthusian monastery, superb cellars, a vast vineyard (110 ha, including 75 ha for the grand vin) and a choice terroir of fine sandy gravel. All these assets are enhanced by a dynamic team led by Caroline Frey, daughter of the owner and the estate's nologue since 2004. The estate has been certified organic since the 2016 vintage.

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with good production levels, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the domain :
Located at the entrance to the Médoc, this cru imposes its characteristic style, always expressing great finesse and elegance. Under the guidance of Caroline Frey since 2004, the cru has produced a series of excellent vintages, placing it at the very top of its appellation. It has to be said that the château holds all the cards to triumph: a very interesting, homogeneous terroir, and state-of-the-art winemaking equipment. A sure bet, but one that has nevertheless been painfully affected by the vagaries of the weather in recent vintages.

Vert de Vin
Wine rated (2022 guide) 90/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About the wine:
The nose is fruity, with a certain juiciness, power and purity of fruit. Notes of pulpy/sparkling blackcurrant, bright cherry and, to a lesser extent, wild strawberry are combined with hints of nutmeg, pepper, spice and a subtle hint of fresh tobacco. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers freshness, minerality and a fine suavity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/acidic blackberry, juicy/acidic Bigarreau cherry and, more lightly, redcurrant, combined with hints of lily, blueberry and nutmeg, as well as discreet hints of toast and mocha. The tannins are sapid and racy. Good length.
