"He's got it all!"
“The 2016 Château Lamothe-Bergeron displays impressive freshness and vitality on the nose: effervescent black fruit intermingled with tobacco and graphite. The palate is well-balanced with lively acidity, harmonious on the palate with good depth, and plenty of new oak on the finish—though this should mellow by the time it’s bottled. There’s potential here. ” (Wine Advocate 2019) Fresh and rich at the same time, it is built for aging. Delivered in a wooden case for any order of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding “Point Relais” delivery method)

Wine rated 15/20 (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (A well-crafted, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the wine:
A soft, floral, and fruity nose; the palate follows the same style—harmonious, pleasant to drink, and very refreshing. Well-crafted, with rare elegance and excellent balance.
About the estate:
A renowned estate that was all the rage in the 19th century, this “sleeping beauty” was revitalized four years ago thanks to its acquisition by the Mounier cognac house. Laurent Méry serves as its director. Located between Margaux and Saint-Julien on gravelly terroirs, the vineyard spans nearly 70 hectares, planted equally with Cabernet and Merlot. Extensive renovations were undertaken to restore the château to its former glory. Modern and avant-garde, with guidance from Hubert de Boüard (Château Angélus), the wine retains its finesse and elegance.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2021 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines regularly receive awards from the guide)
About the estate:
A Cru Bourgeois that has been producing wine since the Middle Ages. It owes its name to the agronomist Jacques de Bergeron, who developed a grafting method in the early 19th century. Surrounded by a 19th-century estate, the vineyard covers nearly 80 hectares and is owned by the H. Mounier and Hardy cognac houses.

Wine Enthusiast
Wine rated (2019 guide) 91/100
About the wine:
The estate’s rather grand château dates back to the 19th century, with turrets that reflect the Médoc tradition. The wine is also classic, offering balanced acidity, blackcurrant notes, and a layer of tannins to support the whole. The 30% new oak barrels have added to the wine’s richness and given it a spicy finish. Best enjoyed starting in 2022.

Le Figaro vins
Wine rated (2017 guide) 91/100
About the wine:
Menthol, zan, floral, and red fruit on the nose. Easy to drink on the palate, with a hint of bitterness, supple tannins, and graphite notes.
Yves Beck
Wine rated (2018 guide) 91/100
About the wine:
Medium garnet red. The bouquet of the 2016 Lamothe-Bergeron is complex and multifaceted. It reveals smoky, fruity, and mineral notes, along with pleasant hints of licorice and blackberries. On the palate, it impresses with its density and balance. The tannins are fine-grained and perfectly integrated, while the structure lends the wine character. A well-rounded wine with body, depth, and finesse. I think it has the potential to gain another point or two. One to watch. 2022–2036
