"First vintage since the Casteja family bought the estate. Great value for money!"
"Crushed strawberry, blackcurrant, mocha—the nose awakens slowly but surely. Tight tannins set the pace for a structured palate with good volume, whose silky texture, refreshing bouquet of thyme, and long, promising finish lingering on toasted almonds are delightful. A promising sign for the future. (Guide Hachette 2026)

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France
Wine rated (2026 guide) 91/100
Rated estate (2016 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About the estate:
Owned by wine merchant Patrick Bernard (Millésima), Peyrabon produces two cuvées. The first, in Haut-Médoc, is easily accessible and has medium aging potential. The second, called Fleur de Peyrabon, comes from well-located vines in Pauillac (4 ha), but the extraction and aging sometimes give it a slightly dry character. The wines are well-structured and offer good value for money.
James Suckling
Wine rated (2025 guide) 91/100
About wine:
A dense and mellow Peyrabon, with a rich nose of blackcurrant, blackberries, and a hint of dark chocolate. Quite powerful on the palate, it is full of extracted tannins before a long finish. Best enjoyed from 2028 onwards.
Terre de Vins
Wine rated (2023 guide) 91-92/100
About wine:
Attractive for its freshness, this wine reveals itself in successive waves, with tart red and black fruits preceding a hint of menthol. The palate is straightforward and chiseled, with lingering notes of cherry pit and redcurrant, followed by a hint of spice. The oak and tannins still need to mellow, but the potential is there!
Yves Beck
Wine rated (2024 guide) 92/100
About wine:
The Peyrabon bouquet is very refined, with delicate notes of blueberries, elderberry, and eucalyptus, as well as hints of licorice and cocoa beans. Medium-bodied, the wine has powerful, fine-grained tannins that provide excellent structure across the palate. An elegant wine that can certainly be enjoyed young, but still deserves a little time to develop. 2028-2042
Vert de Vin
Wine rated (2023 guide) 92/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)
About wine:
The nose is fruity with a slight creaminess and subtle intensity. There are notes of creamy blackberries, fleshy berries and, more subtly, fairly ripe strawberries combined with hints of sweet spices and fresh vanilla...
