Peyrabon Castle
Château Peyrabon ranks among the elite of the Haut-Médoc appellation and, as such, underwent significant improvements in 1998: drainage of nearly all the plots, replanting of 15 hectares of vines using the highest-quality rootstocks (very early-ripening, low-yielding, and high-quality) and the best match of grape variety, terroir, and planting density.

Château Peyrabon is now on the path to “sustainable viticulture” for its vineyard: plowing rather than chemical weed control, systematic green pruning (systematic thinning, suckering, leaf removal, or suckering),

The cellars at Château Peyrabon have also undergone extensive renovations: the number of tanks has been doubled, and a temperature control system has been installed: 53 tanks ranging from 50 to 250 hl for 42 plots managed individually from pruning to blending. Creation of a semi-underground, temperature-controlled barrel cellar (capacity: 1,500 barrels). A set of practices that now enables Château Peyrabon to offer an AOC Haut-Médoc wine of excellent quality.
