Medium-deep ruby color. Nose: dark fruit, a hint of vanilla, and the characteristic intensity of Bordeaux—particularly from Cabernet Sauvignon—along with the green bell pepper note from Cabernet Franc. On the palate, some unripe blackberries and other green (vegetal) notes. You have to like this kind of wine. It’s all a bit rough and somewhat austere. I had expected a bit more body and drinking pleasure. Also a bit short on the finish. That said, the typical characteristics of a Bordeaux are definitely present. Paired with stewed meat, the wine became a bit softer and rounder. Score: 15.5/20
