Medium-deep ruby color. Nose: dark fruit, hints of vanilla, and the typical Bordeaux character, particularly from Cabernet Sauvignon, along with the green bell pepper notes of Cabernet Franc. On the palate, some unripe blackberries and other green (vegetal) notes. You have to like this. It’s all a bit rough and somewhat austere. I expected a bit more body and drinking pleasure. Also a bit short on the finish. That said, the typical characteristics of a Bordeaux are present. With the stewed meat, the wine became a bit softer and rounder. Score: 15.5/20
