Château Bellevue de Tayac

Château Bellevue in Tayac
Château Bellevue de Tayac, in the Margaux appellation, was purchased in 2004 by Jean-Luc Thuvenin, a wine merchant and then owner who was already well known in the Bordeaux region. The new owner then invested heavily in the development of the estate. The first vintage following the purchase of Château Bellevue de Tayac was produced entirely by Guillaume Quéron (Château Fleur Mongiron) with the help of the Banton-Lauret company.

The 3.5-hectare vineyard of Château Bellevue de Tayac is located on a gravelly clay hilltop, where the soil is worked to promote rooting. The grapes are harvested manually at optimal ripeness and collected in small crates. The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are vinified in stainless steel vats, while the Petits Verdots are vinified in barrels. The blending and care taken throughout the winemaking process at Château Bellevue de Tayac result in a beautiful, concentrated Margaux that is both dense and refreshing.
