Château Labégorce
Along the famous Médoc Castle Route, Labégorce is located within the Margaux appellation. Its 70 hectares of vineyards are adjacent to Grands Crus Classés such as Lascombes and the legendary Château Margaux. The terroir is typical of Margaux—sandy-gravelly and sandy-silty—where Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot thrive particularly well.
Since 1989, the Perrodo family has been restoring this magnificent estate to its former glory, and even acquired Château Marquis d’Alesme in 2006. Château Labégorce reveals a charming style with excellent structure, lively fruit, and great finesse. This great wine from the Margaux AOP will be at its best in 5 to 15 years, depending on the vintage.
