"He has mastered the art of hospitality and charm - Yves Beck"

"Lush, creamy, silky, and already expressive, the wine is full-bodied, delicate, and creamy, with successive layers of black cherries, plums, currants, licorice, chocolate, and a hint of espresso. Labégorce has been on fire since 2015, and I wouldn't be surprised if, as the wines mature, this turns out to be the best vintage produced to date! (The Wine Cellar Insider - Jeff Leve 2023) - Considered an Assimilé Grand Cru, it is an outsider in the Margaux appellation! - Delivery in wooden cases is available for orders of 6 bottles of this wine (depending on the country and shipping method selected).

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2022 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Following the reorganization of the Perrodo family's Margaux properties, Labégorce-Zédé joined Château Labégorce to become one. Marjolaine de Coninck has been managing the properties since 2010. The wines produced still have their strong identity, but today they are more modern, refined, and elegant.

Decanter

Decanter

Wine rated (2023 guide) 93/100

About wine:

Magnificent, fragrant blackcurrant nose that smells wonderful. Juicy and supple, this wine has a beautiful roundness and fleshy texture in the glass, while remaining fairly concentrated and refined. The tannins are elegant and the fruit follows a single line from start to finish. It is therefore not very expansive or particularly deep, but it has a pleasant style. Good acidity, concentration, and freshness. Concentrated, dynamic, clean, and precise. Classic, easy to drink, and recommended. 2025–2042

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate (2021 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

A beautiful neoclassical building standing in the middle of its vineyard, on the outskirts of Margaux and heading towards Pauillac, this estate has benefited from significant investment since its purchase by the Perrodo family in 1989, who also own Ch. Marquis d'Alesme. The 2009 merger with Ch. Labégorce Zédé enabled it to regain its original vineyard (70 hectares), as it was before the 1794 division. Nathalie Perrodo-Samani took over the family estates in 2006, following the death of her father Hubert.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About wine:

The 2020 is a beautifully opulent, full-bodied wine, with wood still present at this stage. The substance is there, intense and solid, bringing everything together and promising a serious bottle in a few years' time.

About the estate:

The Perrodo family, owners of the Labégorce, Labégorce-Zédé, and Marquis d'Alesme châteaux, decided to unite the two wines under the name Labégorce. The vineyard was reorganized and every effort was made to make this brand one of the benchmarks for unclassified Margaux wines. The older vintages, sold under the name Labégorce-Zédé, are generally of a very high standard.

Wine rated (2022 guide) 93/100

About wine:

Labégorce 2020 is dark and sumptuous in its beauty. The 2020 has softened somewhat with aging, but it remains a powerful and dark Margaux. 2025–2040

Terre de Vins

Wine rated (2021 guide) 93-94/100

About wine:

A lively profile, with punchy red fruit, the substance is nicely concentrated on dense, tight black fruit, lively, sapid, centered on juicy, crunchy berries. Nice, well-sculpted tannins. Warm finish.

Yves Beck

Yves Beck

Wine rated (2022 guide) 93/100

About wine:

Labégorce undeniably masters the art of inviting and charming! The bouquet clearly shows its aging, complemented by spicy and fruity nuances. The wine doesn't just want to please, it also wants to convince; it succeeds very well, at least in terms of taste! A beautiful balance between ample, fine-grained tannins and an incisive structure. In short, a charmer with character. 2026-2040
