"Lush, creamy, silky, and already expressive, this wine is full-bodied, delicate, and creamy, with successive layers of black cherries, plums, redcurrants, licorice, chocolate, and a hint of espresso in the background. Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2022 guide) 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable vintage, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Following the reorganization of the Perrodo family’s estates in the Margaux region, Labégorce-Zédé merged with Château Labégorce to form a single entity. Marjolaine de Coninck has served as general manager of the estates since 2010. The wines produced continue to retain their strong identity, but now exhibit greater modernity, finesse, and elegance.
Decanter
Wine rated (2023 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
A magnificent, fragrant nose of blackcurrant that smells wonderful. Juicy and supple, this wine displays lovely roundness and a full-bodied texture in the glass, while remaining quite concentrated and refined. The tannins are elegant, and the fruit remains consistent from start to finish. It is therefore not very expansive or particularly deep, but it has a pleasant style. Good acidity, concentration, and freshness. Concentrated, dynamic, clean, and precise. Classic, easy to drink, and highly recommended. 2025–2042
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2021 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer’s wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
A beautiful neoclassical building standing in the middle of its vineyards, just outside Margaux on the road to Pauillac, this estate has benefited from significant investments since its purchase in 1989 by the Perrodo family, who also own Château Marquis d'Alesme. The 2009 merger with Château Labégorce Zédé allowed it to regain its original vineyard (70 hectares), the one it had prior to the 1794 division. Nathalie Perrodo-Samani took over the family estates in 2006, following the death of her father, Hubert.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the wine:
The 2020 is a beautifully opulent, full-bodied wine, with oak that still frames it at this stage. The structure is there—intense and solid—enough to bring everything together and promise a serious bottle in a few years’ time.
About the estate:
The Perrodo family, owners of the Labégorce, Labégorce-Zédé, and Marquis d'Alesme estates, has decided to unify the two wines under the name Labégorce. The vineyard plots have been reorganized, and every effort is being made to establish this brand as a benchmark among the unclassified wines of Margaux. The older vintages, sold under the name Labégorce-Zédé, are generally of very high quality.
Vinous
Wine rated (2022 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
Labégorce 2020 is dark and sumptuous. The 2020 has softened slightly with aging, but it remains a powerful, dark Margaux. 2025–2040

Terre de Vins
Wine rated (2021 guide) 93-94/100
About the wine:
A lively profile, with punchy red fruit; the wine is beautifully concentrated, showcasing dense, tight, vibrant, and flavorful dark fruit centered around a juicy, crisp berry. Nicely defined tannins. A warm finish.

Wine rated (2022 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
Undeniably, Labégorce has mastered the art of welcoming and charming! The bouquet clearly reflects its aging, complemented by spicy and fruity notes. This wine doesn’t just aim to please; it also aims to impress—and it succeeds admirably, at least on the palate! A beautiful balance between full-bodied, fine-grained tannins and a crisp structure. In short, a charmer with character. 2026–2040

Wine rated (2023 guide) 94/100
About the wine:
Lush, creamy, silky, and already expressive, this wine is full-bodied, delicate, and velvety, with layers of black cherries, plums, redcurrants, licorice, chocolate, and a hint of espresso in the background. Labégorce has been on fire since 2015, and I wouldn’t be surprised, as the wines mature, to find that this is the best vintage produced to date! Drink between 2025 and 2047.
