Siran Castle
Château Siran became the property of the Miailhe family in the 19th century. The estate’s vineyards, located on the Labarde plateau within the Margaux appellation, are literally surrounded by wines classified in 1855. It is likely that if Château Siran ’s wines had been entered in the famous 1855 exhibition, they would certainly have earned a place in that prestigious classification. In 2007, the fifth generation, represented by Edouard Miailhe, took over management of the estate from his parents, William-Alain and Brigitte Miailhe. Château Siran has become one of the few grands crus in the Médoc to have been owned by the same family for over 150 years.

Produced on sandy-gravelly soil, Siran’s wines are typical of the grands crus of the Margaux appellation. Both powerful and refined, they always strive for the perfect balance between tannins, fruit, and acidity. Produced under the guidance of the renowned oenologist Denis Dubourdieu, Château Siran is both charming in its youth and has excellent aging potential. It will surprise wine lovers with the complexity of the aromas that develop over time.
