"It remains one of the most appealing wines produced in Bordeaux and sold for under $25 a bottle. The 2010 is an excellent wine with classic notes of tobacco leaf, blackcurrant, and black cherry aromas intertwined with hints of loamy soil and undergrowth, as well as notes of licorice. With a supple texture and an opulent finish, it is a true beauty to drink over the next decade.” (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker) Delivered in a wooden case for orders of 12 bottles of this wine shipped within France

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2014 guide) 14,5/20 (Good wine)
Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the wine:
Hints of smoked bacon that need some time to breathe; a full-bodied wine with firm, robust tannins. Made in a mature style while retaining its freshness, it still has room to develop further.
About the estate:
A consistent, well-balanced Médoc offering excellent value for money, crafted since 1989 by its unassuming winemaker, Jean-Marc Landureau. It boasts a quintessential Médoc style, with a velvety texture that is more about elegance than sheer power. With its 2016 vintage, the estate has produced one of its finest vintages in a long time.
Guide Hachette des vins
Wine noted (guide 2014) 1*Star (Very successful wine)
Rated estate (Guide 202) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the wine:
A staple of the appellation, Jean-Marc Landureau’s wines are grown on a beautiful hill of clay-gravelly soil, one of the highest in the Médoc. A blend of half Merlot and half Cabernet Sauvignon, this 2010 vintage, with its beautiful garnet color, opens with a pronounced yet elegant oakiness featuring cocoa and vanilla notes, with fresh fruit emerging upon aeration. These dominant aging notes carry through to a full-bodied and dense palate, built on solid, promising tannins. Ultimately, this is a wine that displays excellent balance and offers good aging potential for four or five years.
About the estate:
Jean Landureau acquired the property in 1934 and converted it into a stud farm. His son Jean-Michel expanded the vineyard and sold the grapes to the cooperative until the arrival of the third generation and Jean-Marc, who took over in 1990. Following Jean-Marc’s passing, his daughter Anne took over the estate, which maintains consistent quality and has been in the process of converting to biodynamic farming since 2018.

About the wine:
A tannic intensity that evokes the finest wines of the Médoc. Its complexity reveals warm notes as it unfolds. The alcohol-soaked fruit is enhanced by hints of cinnamon and cloves.
