Château Les Grands Chênes

Château Les Grands Chênes is often considered "the Pearl of the Médoc." Owned by Bernard Magrez, this Cru Bourgeois is located on the famous gravelly hilltop of Saint-Christoly du Médoc. An exceptional terroir gives its wine its unique charm.

The vineyard of Château Les Grands Chênes, planted around a former 16th-century fortress, covers 12 hectares of soil composed of 60% gravel and 40% clay-limestone, with an average vine age of 30 years. These same vines are tended with respect for the terroir and the environment, avoiding all chemical products and favoring limited yields in order to obtain optimal grape quality.
