Tour Haut-Caussan Castle
Château Tour Haut-Caussan is a family-owned estate now managed by Véronique Courrian, who oversees sales, and her brother Fabien Courrian, who oversees the vineyards and the winery. The Courrian family has lived in Blaignan-Médoc since 1634 and purchased the estate in 1877. It was Philippe Courrian, the father of Véronique and Fabien, who elevated the château to the very top ranks of the Médoc’s Crus Bourgeois.

The Château Tour Haut-Caussan vineyard spans 17 hectares across two high-quality areas: a beautiful limestone hill in Blaignan and gravel soils in Potensac. The grape varieties are equally divided between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The vines are cultivated using traditional, meticulous methods, without the use of chemical fertilizers, and are harvested by hand. The winemaking and aging processes are rigorous and meticulous, carried out in the traditional manner in oak barrels (25% new, with the remainder divided among one-year-old, two-year-old, and three-year-old barrels).

The wines of Château Tour Haut-Caussan are excellent companions at the table, avoiding any excessive intensity. They are smooth and offer fine aging potential.
