"Quite a powerful nose, dark and heady, slightly tense, smoky and woody. Tight and tannic, it is quite compact and dark, but there is a nice acidity and a certain underlying freshness that gives it pep. It has good potential, that's for sure, and I appreciate its juicy, almost sweet side. " (Decanter 2024) - To enjoy this Montagne-Saint-Émilion at its best, we recommend waiting another 1 to 2 years.

About wine:

Quite powerful, dark and heady nose, slightly tense, smoky and woody. Tight and tannic, it is quite compact and dark, but there is a nice acidity and a certain underlying freshness that gives it pep. It certainly has good potential, and I appreciate its juicy, almost sweet character. Produced from a 7-hectare estate on pure clay soil. A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, aged in barrels for one year. 2025-2034

Wine rated (2024 guide) 92/100

About wine:

Still young, this wine displays delicate aromas of spices and tobacco. Its toasted character, vinified in barrels, gives it a richness of black fruits that still needs time. Drink from 2027 onwards.

Wine rated (2022 guide) 92/100

About wine:

A firm, concentrated red wine with aromas of black fruit, toasted spices, nuts, and wet stones. Medium-bodied, it has a solid structure and fine tannins. Flavorful and already very appealing. Drink after 2026.

About wine:

Freshness and clarity dominate the bouquet of Rocher Gardat, but that's not all. This continues on the palate, where the wine displays character and a little vigor. A mouthwatering, flavorful wine to be enjoyed in its youth. Now – 2030
