Wine rated (2018 guide) 15,5/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2021 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About wine:

Very exuberant and complex nose, exotic fruits, smoke, aristolochia, marshmallow, flint, old rose, very voluptuous on the palate, with beautiful flesh, persistent aromas, and a certain liveliness. A powerful white wine.

About the estate:

In the heart of Léognan, this beautiful 75-hectare estate was purchased in 1987 by Philippe Gervoson, who also heads the Andros company. It produces modern-style wines, with vinous and flattering reds, while the white has gained greatly in body and precision. The arrival of Bruno Lemoine as managing director in 2007, winemaker of the famous Montrose 1990 (among others), has enabled the wine to assert even more personality. The reds are undeniably charming but not lacking in elegance, and have great aging potential. The whites, somewhat in the same vein, are very exuberant aromatically, powerful and endowed with incredible personality. A sure bet in the appellation.

Guide Hachette des vins

Wine rating (2018 guide) 2 stars (Outstanding wine)

About wine:

Made primarily from Sauvignon Blanc, this 2015 vintage is as pleasing to the eye, with its yellow-gold color, as it is refined in its aromas of toasted almonds and white flowers with a hint of minerality. On the palate, it combines beautiful volume and lively freshness that highlights peach aromas and gives length to the finish.

Rated estate (2022 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About wine:

Due to a small harvest, the 2015 whites were not transferred to concrete oval vats, but to three vinification and aging containers: new barrels, 500-liter barrels, and large oak vats. It is a rich white wine with a full mid-palate and more exotic than citrus aromas.

About the estate:

This estate, owned by the Gervoson family (Andros group), consistently produces pleasant, accessible wines that stand out for their aromatic exuberance. Boasting beautiful terroir in the hills above Léognan, not far from Haut-Bailly and La Louvière, the estate also benefits from modern winemaking facilities with a brand new concrete vat room. Bruno Lemoine, director since 2007, and François Gaudichon, cellar master since 2015, bring added precision to the stylistic definition of the wines.
