"Gold Medalist and rated 97/100 at Decanter's Best in Show!"
“A delicate and complex bouquet. It displays inviting floral nuances along with notes of black berries and anise. A hint of chalk. Fruity and fresh on the palate. The wine has tight, fine-grained tannins and beautiful aromatic intensity. This intensity is evident from the first sip and carries through to the finish. A savory and harmonious wine.” (Yves Beck 2021)

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 2 stars (A solid, recommendable wine, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Formerly owned by Baron de Montesquieu, Rochemorin was purchased by André Lurton in the 1970s, who transformed it into the stunning, must-visit estate it is today. The white wine, made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, is not over-the-top, and the Merlot-dominant red wine is exceptionally elegant.

About the estate:
A former fortified farmhouse in the Périgord style that once belonged to Montesquieu, this château nearly lost its vineyard in the early 20th century, as the owners at the time preferred forestry to viticulture. Purchased in 1973 by André Lurton (who passed away in May 2019), it now boasts a vast vineyard and state-of-the-art winemaking facilities.

Wine rated (2023 guide) 90/100
About the wine:
The 2020 Château de Rochemorin has a fairly bold nose with lively notes of blackberry and Boysenberry, beautiful definition and purity, with hints of potpourri and lavender simmering in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with dried black fruits, fairly structured with lively acidity. Well-balanced with well-integrated oak, it is very concentrated and has a slight lingering finish. Very good. 2024–2038
James Suckling

Aromas of blackcurrant, tobacco leaves, sandalwood, and a spice jar. Medium-bodied with a firm, robust tannic structure. Smooth and spicy. Nicely structured. Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Best enjoyed after 2025.

Wine rated (2025 guide) 92/100
About the wine:
The aromatic nose evokes blackcurrant jelly, blackberries, tobacco, and a cigar box, along with vanilla and sweet spices, with a lingering finish. The palate is well-structured, featuring grapefruit, dark blackcurrants, blackberries, and plums, with velvety tannins and excellent, very good length.
