With a deep garnet-purple color, the 2019 Château Bellegrave opens with enticing notes of plum jam, blueberry tart, and blackberry compote, along with hints of licorice, earth, cinnamon stick, and garrigue. Medium-bodied, the palate is bursting with juicy black fruits and plenty of spicy accents, supported by velvety tannins and just the right amount of freshness, finishing with a hint of anise.

It features notes of boysenberry, wild blackcurrant, and a hint of cubeb pepper, combined with hints of wild strawberry, lily, and iris, as well as hints of tonka bean, toasted notes, tea, and a very subtle hint of cardamom.
