Founded in the 16th century, Vieux Château Certan, located in the Pomerol appellation, spans 14 hectares divided into 23 plots. It is currently managed by the Thienpont family.
The vineyards of Vieux Château Certan, with an average age of 50 years, are planted primarily with Merlot, but also with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Vieux Château Certan produces two wines: one bearing its name and La Gravette de Certan, its second wine.
