About the wine:
A remarkable wine, both appealing and serious. Its deep color hints at great concentration, which is evident at every stage of the tasting. Already powerful, the bouquet reveals notes of candied red and black fruits, enhanced by well-integrated oak. Warm from the first sip, full-bodied and rich, the palate unfolds with elegant texture, structured by oak tannins that are still very present, signaling a wine built for aging.
About the estate:
This small, 3.7-hectare vineyard—comprising a single block and well situated on the clay-limestone plateau of Sarpe—has been in the Beyney family since 1926. Jean-Guy Beyney, who took over in 1983 as the third generation of the family, saw his estate achieve cru classé status in the 2012 classification.
