Clos des Jacobins

Clos des Jacobins, located on a ridge between Libourne and Saint-Émilion, is an estate that has been owned by Vignobles Magali and Thibaut Decoster—who also own Château La Commanderie—since 2004. Since then, they have been working to restructure these estates and modernize their production facilities in order to turn them into the jewels of the appellation.

Established in the 17th century, the Clos des Jacobins vineyard now comprises 8.5 hectares of vines at the foot of the hillside, in a single contiguous block, on a south-facing terroir characterized by limestone, clay, and limestone scree that yields early and abundant harvests. The entire winery has been completely renovated, allowing for more precise and controlled winemaking processes and more subtle aging.

Clos des Jacobinswon the Saint-Émilion Grands Crus Classés Cup in Hong Kong in 2006. Clos des Jacobins wines are models of complexity and balance, consistently excellent, with significant aging potential.
