Clos des Jacobins

Clos des Jacobins, located on a hilltop between Libourne and Saint-Émilion, has been owned by Vignobles Magali and Thibaut Decoster, who also own Château La Commanderie, since 2004. They have since undertaken to restructure these estates and modernize production facilities in order to make them the jewels in the crown of the appellation.

Created in the 17th century, the Clos des Jacobins vineyard now covers 8.5 hectares of vines at the foot of the hillside, in a single block, on an early-ripening, generous terroir of limestone, clay, and limestone scree, facing south. The entire cellar has been completely renovated, allowing for more precise and controlled vinification and more subtle aging.

Clos des Jacobinswon the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé Cup in Hong Kong in 2006. Clos des Jacobins wines are models of complexity and balance, offering great consistency and significant aging potential.
