Rated estate (2016 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
This Poupée vintage from François Janoueix comes from two plots located in the Beauregard sector and the western part of Cheval Blanc. The soil consists of gravel and ancient sand, and the vines are in their radiant fifties.

About wine:
An exuberant profile, featuring notes of toasted laurel, very ripe pastis and fig, ripe fruit, and a velvety, chocolatey finish. Probably a bit intense for some, but there’s no denying its ambition. Enjoy now through 2018.
