About the estate:
This “Poupée” vintage from François Janoueix comes from two plots located in the Beauregard area and west of Cheval Blanc. The soil consists of gravel and ancient sand, and the vines are in their radiant fifties.

About the wine:
An exuberant profile, with aromas of toasted laurel, very ripe notes of pastis and fig, ripe fruit, and a velvety, chocolatey finish. Probably a bit extreme for some people, but there’s no denying its ambition. Best enjoyed now through 2018.
