Quinault l'Enclos Castle
Château Quinault L’Enclos is located in the heart of Libourne. In 2008, Baron Frère and Bernard Arnault, chairman of the LVMH Group, acquired the estate, drawn by Quinault’s potential, its terroir of fine gravel worthy of the greatest wines, and its reputation.

This 20-hectare property, near the Dordogne, benefits from a microclimate ideal for growing grapes. The Cheval Blanc team, led by Pierre Lurton, provides the vineyard with the most attentive care. The soil, composed of warm gravel, provides a terroir conducive to high-quality production.

The grape varieties at Château Quinault L’Enclos are classic and typical of the right bank of the Garonne: Merlot dominates (83%), with Cabernet Franc (12%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) rounding out the blend. The average age of the vineyard is 45 years, and the oldest vines in production date back to 1934. These old vines represent a very interesting genetic heritage. They yield complex grapes while maintaining moderate yields.

Like the wines of Cheval Blanc, Château Quinault L’Enclos is vinified to highlight the fruit, with precision and elegance, featuring soft tannins that delight the senses.
