“Dark, intense, and slightly matured color. A very aromatic and quite subtle nose, blending creamy and southern nuances. On the palate, this 2019 proves to be one of the most meticulously textured wines I know. The mouthfeel is refined, the body is slender and velvety, and the whole is full of charm. ” (Jean-Marc Quarin 2022) - Delivered in a wooden case for any order of 6 bottles of this wine (excluding Pickup Point delivery method)

About the estate:

RVF - The French Wine Review / Guide to the Best Wines of France

RVF - La Revue du Vin de France / Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France

Rated estate (2014 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

“Located right in the heart of Libourne, this estate was acquired in 2008 by the former shareholders of Château Cheval Blanc, Bernard Arnault and Baron Albert Frère. Pierre-Olivier Clouet, a close associate of Pierre Lurton, took over the reins with the goal of revitalizing an old vineyard that is now fully cultivated. A naturally refined wine, grown on light gravel soils, that “proves to be more complex than one might imagine,” explains its director.”

James Suckling

James Suckling

Wine rated (2022 guide) 94/100

About the wine:

It has linear, very delicate tannins that give it a mineral character and a long finish. Dark fruit with hints of lavender and violet. Very fresh acidity. Delicious and refined.

Le Figaro Wines

Le Figaro vins

Wine rated (2022 guide) 93.5/100

About the wine:

A rich, fruity, generous, and summery wine, with a lighter smoky note than before for this younger sibling of Cheval Blanc, which has gained in precision this year. On the palate, too, we find that smoky character so characteristic of Quinault in notes of tea-smoked duck breast, along with hints of spices, cinnamon, and star anise. The palate, with its silky texture, is exceptionally smooth. It concludes with a soft, voluptuous finish, like a long trail of velvet fading away behind the trees.

Yves Beck

Yves Beck

Wine rated (2021 guide) 92/100

About the wine:

The intense aroma of Quinaut l’Enclos hints at an extraordinary wine. It displays a vibrant freshness with notes of red berries and mint. This freshness is equally evident on the palate. The wine is juicy, with fairly firm yet well-integrated tannins. A fine achievement from Quinault!

Jean-Marc Quarin

Jean-Marc Quarin

Wine rated (2022 guide) 92/100

About the wine:

Dark, intense, and slightly mature in color. The nose is very aromatic and quite subtle, blending creamy and southern notes. On the palate, this 2019 proves to be one of the most meticulously textured wines I know. It has a delicate mouthfeel, a slender, velvety body, and is full of charm.

Wine Green

Vert de Vin

Wine rated (2021 guide) 94-95/100 (Jonathan Choukroun Chicheportiche)

About the wine:

The nose is fruity, fresh, and crisp, offering purity and a touch of complexity. It reveals notes of juicy blackberry, blackcurrant, and a hint of violet, combined with hints of lilac, ripe black berries, and a touch of nutmeg. The palate is fruity, balanced, and offers juiciness, lovely freshness, minerality, salinity, nice definition, and a beautiful savory quality. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackberry, juicy/fresh blackcurrant, juicy raspberry, and, more subtly, fleshy blue berries, combined with hints of nutmeg, hazelnut, and subtle notes of pleasant bitterness, cocoa, and fresh flowers. The tannins are precise and elegant. Good length. A lovely, subtle varietal character adds vibrancy and energy to the finish and aftertaste.
