About the estate:

The Decoster family, owners of Clos des Jacobins and La Commanderie in Saint-Émilion, has just purchased this estate located on clay-limestone soil, along with its restaurant, ideally situated in the heart of the vineyard. The 11.5 hectares of Château de Candale enjoy a privileged location in the east of the appellation, with prestigious neighbors such as Tertre Rotebœuf and Bellefont-Belcier. The tannins appear less severe than in the past and the potential is evident.

How can a jury award a gold medal to a wine that tastes awful? Where are the aromas of raspberry, red berries, and vanilla? Very disappointing. Don't buy it!
