In June 1994, Eric Prissette, a former professional soccer player, acquired Château Rol Valentin, a Gironde estate located in the heart of the Saint-Émilion vineyards and surrounded by 7.3 hectares of vineyards. He sold the property in 2009 to Alexandra and Nicolas Robin; at that time, Château Rol Valentin was among the top wines of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation.

In a ceaseless quest for finesse and aromatic purity—much to the delight of wine lovers— Château Rol Valentin produces precise wines, the result of a blend derived from two distinct soil types (ancient sand over clay and clay-limestone) and eleven cadastral parcels. A separate wooden vat is assigned to each plot of each grape variety.
