Rated estate (2023 guide): 3 stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)
About the estate:
Véronique Corporandy, a talented technical director, embodies the commitment to quality championed by the La Mondiale insurance group, which owns the estate. Since 2012, the estate has incorporated the Château Cadet-Piola vineyards and now owns some thirty hectares in the heart of the Saint-Émilion plateau, allowing it to increase its wine production without compromising its style. Today, the 2019 vintage, with its vitality and energy, stands as a model of its kind. The wine tourism experience lives up to expectations.

Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing wines of a high standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
At the entrance to the village of Saint-Émilion, on the northern slope that gently descends toward the sandy plains, the Soutard vineyard—a contiguous 30-hectare plot on the edge of the limestone plateau—has been owned by the AG2R La Mondiale group since 2006. The viticultural practices have been completely overhauled since the purchase from the Des Ligneris family: grubbing up and replanting at 7,500 vines per hectare, trellising, pruning methods, cover crops, soil management, workforce organization, and an organic approach… Véronique Corporandy, cellar master, and Olivier Brunel, operations director, can be proud of the results. Whether the vintage is hot or cold, the great terroir of Soutard responds accordingly. At the forefront of wine tourism, Soutard welcomes over 20,000 visitors annually.

About the wine:
A lively, crisp red wine with aromas and flavors of orange peel, red berries, and cherry. Medium-bodied, elegant, and delicious. A very modern young Bordeaux.

About the wine:
The freshness, elegance, and precision of the Soutard 2025’s bouquet immediately capture the attention. It heralds a great wine, without detours, almost without a doubt! Aromas of iris mingle with notes of raspberries, blackberries, and mint. On the palate, the finesse hinted at by the bouquet is perfectly carried through—and even enhanced! The wine stands out for its depth, its restraint, and its desire to reveal itself gradually without raising its voice, simply by highlighting its priorities and ambitions. With excellent definition, the 2025 Soutard shines with its nuances and a commendable ability to rise to the heights of excellence without artifice. A truly great wine in the making! 2030–2055
